A Compliant Wellness Program Tailored for Your Needs

The Engage Wellness Plan is a meticulously designed Self-Insured Medical Expense Reimbursement Plan. It has been purposefully crafted, extensively researched, and is fully compliant with IRS 213(d), 106(a), 105(b), 1.105-11(i), and 104(a)(3) codes, as well as all relevant IRS memos, ERISA regulations, HIPAA, and ADA requirements.

Offers Pre-Tax Deduction Eligibility

The IRS Codes, specifically under section 106(a), provide explicit guidelines regarding the deduction of plan costs from an employee’s gross wages. This code establishes the framework for how employers can legally and appropriately deduct expenses associated with employee benefit plans, such as healthcare or wellness programs, from an employee’s pre-tax earnings. This approach not only promotes financial transparency but also contributes to the overall well-being and satisfaction of employees, as they can potentially reduce their taxable income by participating in these plans.

Reimbursements Under the Post-Tax Program

Under the program, any reimbursements or payments for qualified medical expenses, as defined by IRS Section 213(d), are explicitly excluded from an employee’s gross income in accordance with IRS Code 105(b). Additionally, the provisions of Code 1.105-11(i) and 104(a)(3) are applicable in this context.

Detailed reimbursement guidelines can be found in the comprehensive SIMERP (Self-Insured Medical Expense Reimbursement Plan) plan documents provided by Engage Wellness. These documents serve as a valuable resource, offering a clear and thorough explanation of the program’s rules and procedures, ensuring employees have access to the necessary information to make informed decisions about their healthcare benefits.
